Child Restraint Types Explained

Type A1 – Rearward-Facing Restraint

Suitable for babies up to 9 kg (or 12 kg depending on the manufacturer), typically until around 6 months of age. Incorporates a six-point harness, secured with a seatbelt and top tether strap, and faces the rear of the vehicle.

Note: Park & Fly does not supply rearward-facing restraints. Therefore, children under 12 months cannot travel on Park & Fly shuttle services.

Type B – Forward-Facing Restraint

Suitable for children from 8 kg to 18 kg (approximately 6 months to 4 years). Forward-facing with a six-point harness, secured with a seatbelt and top tether strap.

Type E – Booster Seat

Suitable for children weighing between 14 kg and 26 kg (approximately 4 to 7 years). Used with an adult lap/sash seatbelt and designed with high backs and sides for additional protection.

Important Reminders for Parents and Guardians
  • Always check that child restraints are correctly fitted and adjusted.
  • Always declare your child’s age at the time of booking or shuttle check-in.
  • Plan extra time to allow for safe boarding with child restraints if travelling with young children.
